Why light rail?
Light rail plays an important role in connecting communities and supporting more sustainable transport.
As networks continue to evolve, there are opportunities for businesses to bring fresh ideas and expertise to the sector, supporting both the operation of existing systems and their future development.
Getting started
If you're interested in supplying to the light rail sector but have no previous experience, a useful starting point is the Tramway Principles and Guidance (LRG 1.0) document published by the Light Rail Safety and Standards Board (LRSSB).

The guidance provides an introduction to the principles underpinning the design and operation of tramways and can help businesses develop an understanding of the sector's requirements.
