Agenda announced for the UKTram and Light Rail Safety & Standards Board Light Rail Summit 2025

Organised by UKTram in partnership with the Light Rail Safety and Standards Board (LRSSB), the annual Light Rail Summit is set to return on 25 September 2025 at IET Birmingham: Austin Court, bringing together sector leaders for a packed day of discussion, knowledge-sharing and networking.
The event will feature an extensive line-up of expert speakers covering innovation, safety, customer experience, and sector collaboration, with opportunities for attendees to hear the latest updates from UKTram and LRSSB.

Dave Rooney, Operational Director, Transdev LUAS, said:

The agenda also includes presentations on sustainability, innovation and international collaboration, plus the popular tram quiz and a post-event drinks reception at The Malt House, offering more chances for networking.
The event is now fully booked and the waiting list has also reached capacity. The UKTram team is currently contacting registered attendees to confirm their plans, so that any tickets no longer required can be offered to those on the waiting list.
The demand for this year’s event has also highlighted the need for a larger venue in the future and UKTram is actively exploring options to accommodate more delegates at next year’s Summit.
