Chaired by Chris Hopkinson, Head of Metro Operations at Transport for West Midlands and supported by Vice Chair Stuart Lowrie, Public Transport Manager for the City of Edinburgh Council, the meeting brought together representatives from across the UK’s light rail networks to share updates and shape a forward plan for 2026.

The latest Owners and Authorities Group meeting took place on 15 July 2025 and marked the first session under the new leadership of Chair Chris Hopkinson and Vice-Chair Stuart Lowrie. 

The latest Light Rail Operators Committee (LROC) meeting held in Dublin, brought together operators from across the UK and Ireland to share updates, explore challenges, and strengthen sector-wide collaboration in Dublin.
