Employee recognition initiative highlights teamwork at KeolisAmey Metrolink

On the build-up to Employee Appreciation Day, KAM is shining a spotlight on the everyday stars who make their business what it is. Proper Appreciated is all about celebrating brilliant moments of kindness, teamwork and support across KAM.

Through manager recognition and peer‑to‑peer shout‑outs, every nomination earns a limited‑edition pin badge, a small way of saying a big “thank you”. All nominations are shared on Traxx, their engagement platform, so colleagues can see and celebrate each other’s achievements.

Because when colleagues recognise one another, morale grows, teams feel stronger, and the culture gets better, KAM is realising social recognition really is a powerful tool.

KAM also recently invited colleagues to design a brand‑new set of Thank You cards, a simple, in‑the‑moment way to recognise anyone across the business. Colleagues can pick one up, write a personal message, and pass it on to someone they want to appreciate. Every scanned card also enters the recipient into a monthly prize draw, adding an extra bit of excitement to everyday recognition.
