UKTram contributes to light rail discussion at BITA networking event in Dublin

Sharing insight across the light rail sector
UKTram was represented at a recent industry networking event in Dublin, bringing together professionals from across the UK and Ireland to discuss the progress and future direction of light rail.
The BITA Rail Division Networking Evening, held on the 8th of April, was organised in partnership with Rail Link ahead of its wider industry event. The session focused on light rail and provided a platform for sharing insights on developments and opportunities across the sector.

UKTram Stakeholder & Innovation Manager Tim Bilby was invited to speak as a keynote contributor, alongside Cathal Masterson and Paolo Carbone from Transport Infrastructure Ireland. Tim provided an overview of UKTram’s role, highlighting recent and proposed developments across the UK, as well as examples of innovation and areas for further exploration.
The evening provided an opportunity to connect with stakeholders from across the rail and light rail sectors, with discussion highlighting the importance of continued investment in light rail systems.
