UKTram partner Women in Transport will host an online event on Tuesday, 10th March to mark International Women's Day, bringing together professionals from across the sector to discuss career journeys and opportunities in transport.


Women in Transport will host an online event on Tuesday, 10th March to mark International Women's Day, bringing together professionals from across the sector to discuss career journeys and opportunities in transport.

The session, organised by the organisation’s West Midlands Hub, will take place on Zoom between 13:00 and 14:00 and feature speakers from across the industry, including: Sue Walnut – Regional Lead, Women in Transport & Managing Director, WalnutWorks

  • Clare Sheffield – Director, Arup

  • Chelsea Branch – Digital Marketing & Communications Manager, UKTram

  • Sarah Cauldwell – Senior Planner, Arup

  • Sandeep Kaur Dulay as Deputy Regional Lead, Women in Transport & Project Manager, West Midlands Metro

  • Lucy Gardener – Associate Director, Arup


Discussions will focus on career development, pathways into the sector and the importance of collaboration and mentorship, reflecting the 2026 International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain.


The free session is open to anyone interested in careers in the transport sector and aims to increase visibility of women working across the industry. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with others interested in shaping the future of the sector.
