Supporting Railway Children through this year's event
Tickets are now available for the UKTram & Light Rail Safety & Standards Board Light Rail Summit 2026, taking place in Birmingham on Wednesday, 16thSeptember. This year’s theme, Smarter Systems, Stronger Networks, will bring together industry leaders, operators, suppliers and policymakers to explore the future of light rail and the role it continues to play within sustainable, integrated transport systems.
Following seven successful years as a free event, 2026 introduces a new approach to ticketing, with all tickets available as a £10 charity donation. UKTram and LRSSB are pleased to confirm that 100% of ticket proceeds will be donated to Railway Children.
Railway Children works to support vulnerable young people who are at risk on and around the rail network, including those experiencing exploitation, homelessness and isolation. Through outreach, early intervention and long-term support, the charity helps children access safety, protection and opportunity.
Following last year’s sold-out summit, demand is expected to be high. Additional space has been introduced for exhibitors in response to growing interest, while delegate numbers will remain limited.
Building on previous years, the 2026 programme will feature presentations, discussion and networking opportunities, with further details on speakers and exhibitors to be announced in the coming weeks. Representatives from Railway Children will also be part of the event.
Tickets are priced at £10 per person, with all proceeds donated directly to Railway Children. Please note that tickets are non-refundable and a small booking fee will be applied through Eventbrite. To help ensure fair access across the sector, tickets are limited to one per person per booking.
