UKTram is delighted to share that Chelsea Branch, UKTram's Digital Marketing Manager, has been selected for Women in Transport’s Advance mentoring programme, now entering its largest cohort to date, with more than 100 participants taking part.

The structured, year-long programme pairs women across the transport sector with experienced mentors to support career development and professional progression. Over nine cohorts, more than 450 women have taken part and it has become widely recognised for strengthening leadership pathways and promoting diversity across the industry.

This news rounds off an important year for UKTram, as it renewed its partnership with Women in Transport for a third consecutive year and significantly increased the number of our colleagues engaging with the network as part of our corporate membership.

During 2025, UKTram supported and attended Women in Transport’s 20th anniversary celebrations in London, Manchester and Birmingham, including acting as headline sponsor for the Northwest Hub’s event at Castlefield Viaduct. Each event showcased just how transformative two decades of advocacy and culture change can be across the transport sector.

Chelsea has been matched with an accomplished strategic manager and qualified coach with more than 30 years of operational and people leadership experience in the bus industry. Her mentor brings extensive expertise in organisational development, resilience training, leadership coaching and equality, diversity and inclusion.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Chelsea explained that she hopes to strengthen her voice in technical and strategic spaces, gain insight from an experienced industry professional and continue promoting diversity within the sector’s narrative.

UKTram has been a long-standing corporate supporter of Women in Transport and is proud to see one of our team involved in this important initiative. UKTram looks forward to sharing updates as the programme progresses.
