UKTram welcomes Arcadis as new member
UKTram is pleased to welcome Arcadis, a global design, engineering and consultancy organisation, as one of its newest Trade Members, bringing further expertise in major transport and infrastructure programmes to the association's growing network.
Working across natural and built environments, Arcadis provides a range of services, including programme and project management, engineering, commercial and cost management, business case development, asset management and sustainability.
In the UK transport sector, the organisation helps clients deliver integrated, accessible and resilient networks while ensuring transport investment contributes to wider economic, environmental and social benefits.
Arcadis joins UKTram at a time of growing opportunity for the light rail and mass transit sector, with increasing devolution and regional transport ambitions, as well as growing interest in integrated public transport that supports future investment.
For Arcadis, membership offers an opportunity to engage more closely with the light rail community, share experience from major infrastructure programmes, and collaborate with authorities, operators ,and fellow members.
It is also keen to explore shared challenges facing the sector, including skills and delivery capacity, supply-chain development, affordability and demonstrating the wider economic and social benefits of light rail investment.
Dan Beere, Associate Director at Arcadis, commented:
“We are delighted to join UKTram at such an exciting point for the light rail and mass transit sector. The scale of opportunity over the coming decade is significant, but realising it will require collaboration between authorities, operators and the supply chain.
“We are looking forward to bringing Arcadis’ experience and global expertise to the UKTram community, learning from fellow members and working collectively to help deliver sustainable, integrated transport networks that create lasting value for the places and communities they serve.”
UKTram looks forward to welcoming Arcadis into its member network and supporting opportunities for the organisation to share knowledge, build relationships and contribute to discussions shaping the future of light rail.
