Final tickets remain for the UKTram and LRSSB Light Rail Summit 2026. Secure your place to hear from a fantastic line-up of speakers and connect with colleagues from across the sector for a day of insight, discussion and networking.

The Summit will be held at IET Birmingham: Austin Court on Wednesday, 16th September. It will bring together operators, infrastructure specialists, regulators, researchers, and industry leaders to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of light rail.

The programme will feature a range of presentations covering the sector's most important themes, including decarbonisation, modernisation, customer experience, safety, and innovation.

Part of this year's programme includes:

• Decarbonising rail traction networks through the development and connection of solar, wind and energy storage assets, presented by Leo Murray of Riding Sunbeams.

• An update on the Subway Modernisation programme from David Fielder of Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT).

• Customer initiatives and passenger-focused services from Samantha Murat of KeolisAmey Docklands.

• A presentation from Railway Children, highlighting the charity's work supporting vulnerable children connected to transport networks around the world. Delegates attending this year's Summit will also be helping support the charity, with proceeds from ticket sales being donated directly to Railway Children.

• Regulatory insight from Alex Sprott of the Office of Rail and Road (ORR).

• Research and innovation perspectives from Paul Allen of the University of Huddersfield.

In addition to the conference, delegates can meet exhibitors from across the sector, including Mosdorfer, Mainspring, Pandrol, Voestalpine, Getzner, Telent and Waterman Aspen.

For the first time, tickets are priced at £10, with proceeds supporting Railway Children and its work protecting vulnerable children worldwide.
